Sample Analysis

It is important that samples of material suspected to contain Asbestos fibres are only taken by an experienced technician and analysed by a NATA accredited laboratory.

Any samples taken by Queensland Asbestos Management Services are examined in accordance with the methodology outlined in the Australian Standards (AS 4964 – 2004) – Method for the Qualitative Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples.

The average turnaround time for results is approximately 3 working days. In some circumstances results can be arranged sooner.

The results of the sample will be given to you in a certificate which also outlines the type of asbestos contained within the product if applicable.

Our fee for collecting and analysing samples is $190 + GST for the first sample and $80 + GST for any additional samples taken at the same time.  This fee is for testing only. When samples are taken in conjunction with a management plan they only cost $55 including GST per sample.
